The Weekend

On Friday afternoon, I picked up Madelyn. We had a girls' night. We went to my ward's carnival, ate ice cream at the BYU Creamery on 9th, painted nails, and watched Mulan. In the morning while I was doing things around my place, Madelyn watched Cinderella. Then, we met up with Adam, Jennie, Parker, Meredith, and Rhece and walked around BYU campus. We're trying to instill Cougar love in the kids. It was a fun night and day!!
Madelyn with her cotton candy. Daniel was so nice and gave her 2.Katie doing her best David Paxman face.
Katie and Raymon totally in love.

Yay, Meredith is smiling!

My class and I went on the fall field trip up Provo Canyon. Aren't they darling??

"I dont hav to do work I can rid my scoter play whth my frind."
"We are free!! I like the flag. I like the coulers. I like the laws. I like the pledge."
"I get to choose my school and who my friends are. And I'm free. And I get to choose who to marry. And what collage I go to."
"We are free to do mostly anything and we are awsome."
"I am free and that I have laws, parents and there are nice people in Utah and in the country. And we have money and we have houses. And we have friends and we are free."
"I'm free to do anything I want to do, it's a free cuntry, but ther are consaqisis."

Now, I'll leave you with School House Rock.

Something old, something new

Something borrowed, something blue and a bridegroom just like you. {I'm yet to understand that saying.} What a perfect event to document for the 100th post! Katie and Raymon tied the knot last night on 9.9.09. {For more info, go here.} It was a beautiful reception that coincidentally ended up being an early 1900's theme. So to continue with that, the photos were edited accordingly.

I was the maid of honor, caterer, florist, photographer, entertainer, and anything else needed.

Past few days...

School is going well. I have a class of 30. They're very cute and very chatty. I don't know what's different about this class, but I've felt an instant click with them. I enjoy being with them.
We moved into our new apartment. The wall color was a puke color, so we decided to paint it. This was the chosen color. It is the color of my dreams. We all worked hard and well together. Do you see why the color had to change pronto?
The final product. I think it turned out darling.
Oh yes, the 2nd annual Orange Party was held. Jennifer let me give her a white girl 'fro again. I love doing that hairstyle.

Our apartment won for best costumes. Thank you, Abby.

For our day off of laboring, several of us went up the Nebo Loop to Payson Lakes. Such a beautiful area. Lakes in the mountains are so picturesque. We had a nice picnic, walked around the lake, tried fishing, and played an intense game of bocce ball. It was a great day off!
