2010 in Review

Wow, it's already New Year's Eve! It honestly seems like it was just last month; I vividly remember last year's. 2010 had some extreme lows and struggles for me, but it also had some happy times. Let's re-celebrate some, shall we? (no particular order)

2. Welcomed two baby girls to my family: here and here.
3. Had some fun times with the roommates of OA 405: here, here, and here.
4. Visited my family in Arizona and Michigan: here, here, here, here, and here.
5. Polished my homemaking skills: here, here, here, here, and here.
6. Enjoyed the beaches of Hilton Head Island and California: here, here, here, and here.
7. Attended the weddings of a few good (and best) friends: here, here, and here.
9. Spent quality time with friends: here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.

I went a little happy with linking. I'm hoping that this year brings even more happiness and good memories. And I hope the same for you. So long 2010, hello 2011!

Merry Christmas!

I hope you've been enjoying your break just as much as I have.
This face is beyond adorable.

My mom loves when I give her the same ornament my students make for their parents.

Happy Holidays!

Newest Addition

My oldest sister, Kristen, had a baby girl Monday evening. We're so excited to have Miss (name unknown) in our family!

Isn't she precious? I think she looks just perfect.

Merry Christmas Eve!

'Tis the Season

Benita was a lucky recipient of David Archuleta & the MoTab Christmas concert tickets. It was so good! David has such a good and pleasant voice. Thanks for the ticket, Benita!

We had our annual 3rd Grade Gingerbread Houses event. The kids did such a nice job. They didn't dump and pile candy on their houses.
The Provo Tabernacle caught on fire last Friday. So sad! I took this as I waited to turn right. Good thing I went to the Live Nativity that was held there a couple weeks ago.
Hope you're enjoying this holiday season!

What Shall We Give?

I love this sweet, little message. So appropriate for this time of year.
(It's worth the 4 minutes.)

I also love the traditional carol that was sung:
"What Shall We Give to the Babe in the Manger?"
"What shall we give to the Babe in the manger, what shall we offer the child in the stall? Incense and spices and gold we’ve got plenty, are these the gifts for the King of us all?

"What shall we give to the boy in the temple, what shall we offer the Man by the sea? Palms at his feet and hosannas uprising, are gifts for Him who will carry the Tree.

"What shall we give to the Lamb who was offered, rising the third day and shedding His love? Tears for his mercy we’ll weep at the manger, bathing the infant come down from above."

Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving

Wonderful Weekend.
Made me pine for Christmastime.
Loved having the parents in town.
Freezing temperatures forced us to stay cozy inside.
This was the cabin in mid-October--
This is the cabin end of November--

2006--
2010--
Look at how she's grown. Isn't she a beauty?
Santa asked us to pick up a "little" something for the grandkids.
Hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, and food!

This team wouldn't be possible without Mr. and Mrs. Steinbrenner's (or Christensen) sponsorship.

Wow, what a season! I am not going to miss all the aches, pains, and bruises from each game. I will miss Kate's weekly texts reminding us of the game. I'll leave you with yesterday's: "Dear Rat Finks, By some miracle we have made it to the championship! Holla!!!!! The big game is this Saturday at 10:15 am. I know, that's early for a Saturday, but hey, let's get out there and win the whole d*@! thang. Goooo Finks!!!" And WE DID!!
