since I've been done

For Relief Society meeting, I did a cooking night.  I taught the girls how to make a Mexican dinner (Cafe Rio).  We made cilantro lime rice, chicken, guacamole, and tomatillo dressing.  I did it cooking show style, and several of the girls did the prep and cooking.  We had fun!!
 Lovely assistants.

 Sunday tradition.

We went up to City Creek and visited Amanda at work for her lunch.
The doctor gave Amanda the ok to eat chicken and nuts again.  Woohoo!!
I busted out the sewing machine and made some headway on my quilt.  I'm excited to go home and have my mom help me with the last couple of steps.
Megan ran and completed this marathon!!

Amanda joined her at mile 21 and ran with her the rest of the way.  (My job was to be the photographer. ;))

Give that girl some Diet Doctor Pepper!!

 She's amazing!

 Firework season is back!!!!!!!

cabin

We decided we needed another weekend getaway, so we went up to Carol and Shane's cabin (thank you, Swindles!!!).
I love going to the cabin because there is no cell service, and so everyone is a part of the group the WHOLE time--like it or not. ;)  I also love the cabin because the mountains are beautiful this time of year and we play a lot of games.

Who knew my friends were so natural with the bow and arrow?

 Katniss.
 Heather and Natalie.

If you'd like a magnet for your car, let me know.

Thanks for another great weekend, everyone!!

diamond jubilee

If you know me, you know I love the Royal Family.  It was Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee celebration last weekend.  She's been queen for 60 years...crazy!  I send my congratulations to her and the family, especially William, Kate, and Harry.

Anyway, I saw this the other morning while I was waiting in the car shop.  Watch it.  I can promise you'll laugh.

And, of course, Kate looked fabulous for every event!

I'd feel about the same way...
